Hi,

Won't bother to review the kite (brand affiliated), but an happy to offer some info on the Airush ONE kite. We developed it for waves in Oz and Bali and as luck would have it, kiters are enjoying it for freeride as well.

I'm also looking for a new quiver with emphasis on wave abilities. I'm a slingshot fan and am looking at the rally or rpm. But the waiman and f-one bandit interests me as well. Anyone know the wind ranges on the waimans? if they all work fine once you get to know them, i guess it will be down to a "buy local" and look at price.

Sent you a PM about a demo.

I've now had the Rally out in a few different conditions... lately big waves. I am trying to force the thing to fall out of the sky... out run it, etc. To do this, let the kite hang back and don't steer it back to the wave face. It does not fall out but you have to be patient, it will come around. When I do send it back to the wave face, I'm satisfied with its ability to drive its power like a C or hybrid.

Fuels rock as always and completely agree with foghater. I am taking a chance personally in trying the Rallys, not b/c they are SS but because I am nervous about spending a lot of dough on a new technology for me. So far I'm happy and have not experienced the "falling out of the sky", wingtip collapsing, and generally bad review I saw recently. But I will keep everyone posted.

Okay I am a little biased since I sell the brand. Now that you know that, here's my 2cents to the original question.

SS comes out with new or replacement model of a kite in their line both spring and fall. RPMs comes out in the spring. The Rally is the fall kite along with the latest version of the Fuel.

To clear it up the Rev became Rev-2 then it became Octane with only a few changes, otherwise the same.

The Rally is all new and probably the best kite in their lineup if you want a kite to sit deep for wave riding and easy realunch. Like someone else said you can run at it and it stays up with lines tight.

The RPM is the most popular kite in the Gorge amongst the locals, check it out on any weekday. It rides most like a C kite of any 4-line SLE I've tested and is brilliant at busting big air in the rolling swell we get here.

We have a full line of demos in every SS kite and board anytime you want to test anything.

Dave
