What's blue and brown and dead all over?

The Gorge!

Seriously this sucks, I think its going to be about the west of Portland action today... maybe Jones or Manzo. Sauvies doesn't look too appealing.

Sauvies was typical, light, flukey, teasing. As always the social scene on the beach was the most interesting part, which made it worth it. Thumb's Up

Still, looking at the wind sensor history, and since I needed to be in Vancouver early after, shoulda gone to Stevenson....

Sunset in PM was light, but doable with big a kite and/or board. I should have driven south 25 mi. or so - Manzanita looked like the place to be. What is a good indicator/ sensor for wind speed at Sunset? Is Manzanita just as good a place to ride as Sunset? -C

Manzanita is almost always 10mph or more stronger than the rest of the north coast. It blows first, strongest and is much more predictable with the sensor right there. When we rode the coast for the solstice we were on the water there by 11am.

BTW, when we going back adam? Got the durango back...

Definately gotta go back... I like that place, just NOT the sharks! Think Sauvies is going to build anymore today? Don't feel like driving out east even though the wind is better... Sad

Yup - The thought of sharing space with such a powerfull animal has got to bug you out sometimes. I have never seen a shark on the OR coast though. For those if you who didn't see the video from a few years back - here is a creepy one Arrow www.surfermag.com/av/shrkatt
