The North Fuse is not at all a freestyle kite.
its a purebred lightweight, efficient race kite for hauling ass upwind in any kind of shitty wind
so damn boring.
the Rally, though i havent tried it, looks like a pretty basic Delta, perhaps a well made one, but a delta nonetheless, so probably not the best for freestylin, more for learning _________________ live for the next windy day

Any more gorge riders have feedback on the Rally yet? Throw length to depower compared to the RPM? Last edited by tree on Sun Aug 29, 10 12:16 pm; edited 1 time in total

I am curious if anyone has flown the rally in gusty conditions. How has it performed? Also, what is the bar pressure like compared to North Rebels?

They have been shipping since last Friday! So hopefully some 3rd party riders had a chance to give them a go... I sure did on Saturday at Fort Stevens... Seemed I was the only one to make it up wind to the observation tower. The 10m is sooooooooo sick! But you didn't hear that from me...

Ahhh, I got tired or waiting for you guys to post feedback. Pulled the trigger with a 6/10 quiver which looks, according to the wind charts, to deliver me some nice range.
I'd agree with Shy, though...the 10M was a lot of fun. You can really whip that sucker around but it is also very stable.
Might still need to keep my 15 REV2 for the low end or get something else. We'll see. At 180lbs I don't think I'm going to be getting away with the 10M at 13 knots like the chart shows;

First Ride on the 12m Rally
Real fun kite. This is coming from someone who owned a full quiver of Kahoona V1's last year and currently own's a 7.5m V2 Kahoona and tested and loved the 11.5m V2 Kahoona.

It's really not like the Fuse... but!!!..... the Rally is a really fun and accessible kite... light, smooth, turns great and sucks up gusts really well. Fuse has more drive in gusts and requires more attentiveness in gusty wind or waves (rides more forward). I would say anyone could ride the Rally and like it... where Fuse would be for more experienced riders ...ideally. Evo would be a better North to compare as it is a variation on the Delta shape.
