The North Fuse is not at all a freestyle kite.
its a purebred lightweight, efficient race kite for hauling ass upwind in any kind of shitty wind

so damn boring.

the Rally, though i havent tried it, looks like a pretty basic Delta, perhaps a well made one, but a delta nonetheless, so probably not the best for freestylin, more for learning

I suspect several folks out west have gotten on this kite by now.

How is it behaving for you in the gusty Gorge wind we hear about back east?

I'm stoked on the kite based on a couple day demo I had, but wanted to know how it handled gusts in comparison to RPMs or REVs?

THANKS!

Is there any other reviews out besides this one?

Any more gorge riders have feedback on the Rally yet? Throw length to depower compared to the RPM?

I am curious if anyone has flown the rally in gusty conditions. How has it performed? Also, what is the bar pressure like compared to North Rebels?

They have been shipping since last Friday! So hopefully some 3rd party riders had a chance to give them a go... I sure did on Saturday at Fort Stevens... Seemed I was the only one to make it up wind to the observation tower. The 10m is sooooooooo sick! But you didn't hear that from me... Wink

Just got my demo quiver yesterday. Can't wait to go to the moon with these kites. They are like rocket boosters.

Ahhh, I got tired or waiting for you guys to post feedback. Smile Pulled the trigger with a 6/10 quiver which looks, according to the wind charts, to deliver me some nice range.

I'd agree with Shy, though...the 10M was a lot of fun. You can really whip that sucker around but it is also very stable.

Might still need to keep my 15 REV2 for the low end or get something else. We'll see. At 180lbs I don't think I'm going to be getting away with the 10M at 13 knots like the chart shows;

First Ride on the 12m Rally

Real fun kite. This is coming from someone who owned a full quiver of Kahoona V1's last year and currently own's a 7.5m V2 Kahoona and tested and loved the 11.5m V2 Kahoona.

Here's some of the HERO HD footage

Great day out on the 12m Rally Demo from Bellingham Kite - Paddle - Surf.

This is a really fun kite with a very unique look and feel to it.

It's really not like the Fuse... but!!!..... the Rally is a really fun and accessible kite... light, smooth, turns great and sucks up gusts really well. Fuse has more drive in gusts and requires more attentiveness in gusty wind or waves (rides more forward). I would say anyone could ride the Rally and like it... where Fuse would be for more experienced riders ...ideally. Evo would be a better North to compare as it is a variation on the Delta shape. Very Happy Very Happy
