Taylor, tell your Dad to pack the car and head west! You're ready for some tasty pacific slabs! Those slabs are rolling in at about 6" today along the Northern strip which should be perfect for your debut!

Very Happy

Generally, Sauvie Island picks up in the evening when Portland temp starts to come down. Yesterday ended up being a great day. Not many people and some good wind. Jones would be a good shot but it will be crowded with off road riders in the sand bowl. and it's also further west.

Generally you'll want to see 10-12 on the sensor. This is the readings from 6/28. I think it was the day you had you lesson.

Came up to 14NNW right now (6:00PM) which is the most I've seen from Sauvies in a while, but I doubt it's building (probably just one of those slight 2 second increases). How come we haven't had any of those super hot, 18-20 days it a bit... My 11m (biggest kite) doesn't work too well in anything less, even with a Glide. Crying or Very sad

Yes it went. Nothing very good. That weird wind shadow appeared right next to the beach. Tons of people and a few boats. Best wind of the night was around 5-7pm.

Thank god for big kites!

Yes, yes I do! You guys seem to do alright on your 12's out there, but I'm wondering if a 14 would be the way to go..?

I've been on one out there, but don't actually have one now... And as soon as I stop being lazy, I'll get around to making one (right now I rather just find more wind though Wink ).
