I would love to go today. Been looking at the gorge but no wind there. Where exactly do you put in on sauvies? I have never been there before.

I was thinking that too. But, there's some clouds to the west and it looks like it just went down a tad from the last time I checked.

Reeder beach is good. but beach may be bigger just past the sharp left turn on road past Reeder at the clothing optional beach. Take dirt road fork to right at split.

Go to the very last stairwell at Reeder Beach. Last weekend we cleaned up the beach a little and there was plenty of beach to launch then.

You guys better plan on bringing a ton of beer if you end up going there today. Rolling Eyes I give it a 1% chance of being ridable.

yeah, the forecast show a declining pattern in wind. If the wind has a little east in it (blowing slighty onshore) the fetch of the river is better up at the nudie beach. Still baffles me when I'm riding amidst overweight T and A and the gang is drinking cheap beer at reeder beach.

Sure would be nice to have that Sauvie Sensor.... ohh yeah, ikitesuck is on top of it.
holding my breath for that one Rolling Eyes

that said, if someone rolls out there, like now, I would love an on-site report. skim and 14 can work for me Smile

I have a better idea, just bring that ton of beer to my house.
I can get the BBQ with some hot-dogs going...and if it's warm enough, I'll throw out one of them slip-n-slides on the front lawn.

Lets cross our fingers the wind puts out somewhere.

Cool

Kiteboarding is a sport where you buy a bunch of expensive gear then let it sit in your basement while it rains all fucking month. Other spin offs of the sport include: pointless debating over personal preferences in kiteboarding gear, driving a shit load to and from "kiteboarding beaches", and arguing with loved ones over time spent driving and sitting on the beach waiting for wind.

I don't get it. I'm actually pondering trying this whole kiteboard thing out by driving to Sauvie. Just can't decide if I should actually take my kite and board.
