Hey All ,
I'd love to be there this year as last year was great even without the Demos.
I'm in the Yukon now and coming home friday the 25th .
It'd be sweet to ride with you all again , especially at Jones .
Hopefully I'll make it to the coast this summer and maybe run into a few of you there.
Watch out for those crazy quadders , last year I used some old fireworks containers to mark where my lines were to help them see and not run over any of my stuff . After all its hard to see them ( lines ) at mach10 speeds . LOL
Stay safe and enjoy .
Happy July 4th !

The quads can totally be a pain in the ass!!! But if it gets windy enough they all bail. Last month I had it out with one. Was launching my kite off the sand and this SOB slowed down, looked at me, looked at my lines, looked back at me waving and yelling NO!!! Then freaking gunned it right at my lines!! WTF dude! I completely ejectedfrom my kite so I wouldn't get dragged behind the imbreed DBag. Luckily my lines hit the ground in time and didn't get tangled in any wheels!

I'll have flags out this weekend to help minimize any situations from atv's. Plus using cars as walls help alot too.

most of the time they really can't see your lines (may not know they are there or they are drunk)

and you may have to act fast - last year was rigging and a quad came over the dune was headed straight for my kite - and no one was driving, rolled to a stop luckily

dude was ejected and not moving (his friend was pretty funny - told him to "get the fuck up")

another hazard post 4th July - exploded firework casings - ragged kite-eating shrapnel looking things...

Most of all those guys have been really cool and respectful to me. I would recommend staying on their good side as I would assume most of them are armed. Also considering we all leave our vehicles unattended while we ride is something to think about. I would also recommend rolling your lines up when not in use. I have had people charge up like they were going to run over my lines only to stop and ask where the lines were so they didn't run them over. Just remember those guys were probably there first and I'm sure we get in there way too. And if you ever get stuck out there, having some beer handy to bribe the guy with the biggest "Monster Truck" to pull you out is a good idea.

I've been kiting there 3 years and this was my 1st cuss out fest with one of them. The dude was drunk, think all of them were drunk. Just one bad group of assholes. It happens. They were riding inbetween kites like a obsticle course. They quit that after I pegged one of them with a water bottle. They were purposely trying to start shit. Assholes!! But normally everyone is way cool and respect your space

I always roll my lines up!! And move my kite closer to my rig. Be careful leaving boards laying around too, might get ran over.

FYI there not the only ones packing heat Razz

I think a Texas flag would send the right message, without sending the wrong one...
