I'm moving to Pullman, WA in a couple months to return to school and am wondering how big the kiting scene is in eastern WA. I've found some sites talking about Snake River and Cour D' Alene, ID. Any info on quality spots, shops and so on would be awesome. I'll be new to the area!

Good in winter when there is snow, bad in summer. You're better off driving to the gorge in summer. Save yourself the frustration.

There are some pretty good spots in Central Wa. Potholes, Sprague, even some spots near Tri Cities, but most are a few hours drive. Best bet is to plan camping trips to the spot you want to check out and have a back up plan( mountain biking, kayaking, etc.
