No kiting for Gene and I but a whole LOT of biking up at whistler.

Quick vid. Thanks to Chooch for the gopro borrow and to stringy for all the super pimp range of mounting hardware. Best to follow link and watch in HD....

Nice edit and fast turn around dude. Still a bit tough to watch that last part. A little too fresh.

Gene rocked whistler even more so than it rocked him on the last day. Fatigue and high speed jumps can be a poor combination.

I crashed on the very first run of the very first day. Great way to start a trip....

Haha, I went real fast and big on that double and I guess was too tired or distracted after sucking up the landing to actually start turning. That's what happens near the end of your third day of non-stop lift serviced riding.

Brian, you should tell em about the bear and her 2 cubs that we almost ran into on the jump line. Too bad your cam was pointed backwards on that run.

Pretty freaky shit. Big mama ambled into the woods but the two little cubs just about got ran over. One of the cubs started running out in front of me and I kept thinking.. "get the hell out of my way before you get me mauled".

Yeah, bike trails are soooo damaging to wildlife habitat..its just devastating to them---to the point that you seem them grazing all over the damn bike park Rolling Eyes

Favorite canadian quote of the weekend "yeah, you people in the states really have your panties in a bunch about all that stuff" (talking about trying to permit a bike park and dealing with public comment)

I blame the lawyers fer ser Wink

seriously, the whole legal system up in Canada is very different. They aren't concerned nearly as much about getting sued. Because its a lot more difficult to win big money for getting injured - especially when its your own damn fault.

Sorry to hijack yer thread monkey.

The mountain biking looks absolutely sick. You went up there for three straight days??? Wholly shit man - I would love to get up there for just one day!

Brett, What kind of bike are you rocking? We are going to go again in July after they open the upper section.. 3,600' vertical feet in a single run Shocked

Gene, check out the paul stevens video on the whistler homepage: http://www.whistlerbike.com/index.htm

home boy does a table top over that huge gap jump on the whistler downhill course right under the chair lift. pretty impressive.
