Fireworks close the spit, but the sandbar is still accessible from the Event Site.
Tons of people in town for the overlapping US and Canadian long weekends.
Probably the most crowded weekend of the summer, but the wind is usually good.

I'm going to blow a bunch of stuff up. Not sure if it will be in portland or bend this year. Portland is typically more fun but there is so much more to catch on fire in bend. The 4th on the water is usually a nightmare unless you get really far east.

the spit usually closes for 4th of july, then a bunch of people get pizzed and start posting about it. so, good thread so all can remember in advance. Might end up being a sweet Jones weekend

If it is a perfect world (which it isn't, but wtf) 2nd Wind/IPS/Liquid Force/The Slider Project will be hosting a downtown rail jam party at the British Pub on Friday July 2nd.

The plan is to start off with a snow rail jam on 4th st, then over to a grinch winch pool rail grind in the parking lot of the Pub, then when it is dark enough will be premiering 'A Work In Progress' on an outdoor movie screen and then moving inside the pub for live music and drinks til closing time.

Manzo has sick fireworks. There's usually a ton of beach traffic and beach anarchy at night, but they're not in the water Very Happy

Since we already got the "I don't need lessons cause I'm different thread" out of the way we still need to get the following threads started....

1. What came first the dogshit or the kiters thread
2. Sauvie island sucks thread
3. There is a rotation in the kiddie pool douche bag thread
4. How do I do a ______ trick? Thread

Am I missing anything?
