I have seen the fogging problem, but I don't experience it when using it on my kite lines or on the board. When using the board mount, Ill put a piece of tissue paper in it to help with any moisture issues. Not sure if it helps or not. GoPro does make some anti fog strips available at their website. I just ordered a couple and will let you know how they turn out after I use them. Just so you know, I have experienced the fogging, but usually in more humid areas like in cape hatteras.
I also wanted to post a shot of what the HD wide angle looks like from the kite's perspective. this is probably a little wider view than normal lines.
I was gaging the light wind performance of my 14m helix using 32 meter lines (25m plus 7m extensions)

Nice shot Jim,
Pretty cool seeing kite tip to tip that far up on a 14m.
Where did you mount it ? Center strut or LE ? _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

Great shot! Makes me want to turn my monitor sideways and stare at it all day.
Another GoPro question:
It looks like all the HD cameras have wide angle lenses, but the lens is mounted on the case. Can you unscrew the wide angle lens from the case or take pictures/video without the case that aren't wide-angle shots?
thanks |

I also am thinking of buying the Lumix TS1 or TS2. Let me know how you like it.
Not sure to spend the extra $$ on the TS2 or save some and go with the TS1. Any thoughts? |
In case your still thinking of buying the TS1 or TS2
Here is a quick clip of me yesterday, filmed with the TS2.

Not very impresive stuff, but at least it's an honest representation.
It was pretty gusty but the cam pretty much stays in focus for the whole ride. Last edited by Martin_6453 on Mon Jun 21, 10 1:10 pm; edited 1 time in total |

The GoPro cam comes with a wide angle lens. The case is just fitted around it. You would not be able to take lens off. _________________ Cleverly disguised as an adult...

I used a Vado HD, ( not waterproof ) in a custom grip that my friend made for my center strutt. It was sorta splash proof.
Came out good after a working over in After effects and Final cut. Enjoy!!!
Can we post vimeo vids here?
