Anyone kiting on Saturday? I am in PDX for the weekend and brought my kite gear, just wondering where the best spot Saturday would be.

Cheers

Hood River should be the call this weekend. If you want to drive another 45min east then head to Rufus.

Take a look at Temira's report in the AM:

http://thegorgeismygym.com

Ikite says:

Solid westerlies across the Central and Eastern Gorge.

The upper trough will slowly move eastward Friday as and the North Pacific High pushes toward the Oregon Coast. Westerly gradients will remain healthy as a broad low pressure system slowly pushes across the middle of the country. Meanwhile, clouds look to be less pervasive and the risk for showers is minimal. This should help the Corridor to be more in the picture for strong westerlies.

Oregon Coast: North Coast seeing mid teen NW winds and the South Coast reaching upper teen NW winds. W swell at 8ft with a 12sec.

Western GorgeWestern Gorge represents Jones Beach to Stevenson- Jones Beach reaching WNW mid teens. Stevenson seeing upper teens to around 20. Watch for clouds and any isolated showers to make conditions less reliable.

CorridorCorridor represents Viento to Sandbar- Low to mid 20's peaks. Clouds could possibly make for less reliable conditions, mainly early.

Near EastNear East represents Mosier to Doug's Beach- Upper 20's to near 30.

Eastern GorgeEastern Gorge represents Celilo to Port Kelley- Upper 20's to low 30's. Strongest from Celilo to Arlington.

From temera this morning..

I just received some inside information at 9:40am that The Dalles wastewater plant is exceeding E. Coli levels in their discharge and will be posting “Do not enter the water” signs downstream of The Dalles. So, I suggest staying out of the water at Doug’s, Rowena, Lyle and Mosier for now… Yuck…

so close your mouth when you figuratively eat shit or you will end up literally eating shit.
