BRO!
Good news for boardheads. To anyone interested in riding the BEST, BroKite has finally got there website up and running and I've just put my order in for a new 130 freeride, so I will have both the Freeride and the POP series available to demo at the Spit all summer long.

Brokite boards are designed and handmade all in Corpus Christi, TX. They just made a video on their unique process...
http://www.thekiteboarder.com/wordpress/2010/04/video-how-to-build-a-kiteboard-with-brokite/

I'm offering my boards(or atleast which ever one I'm not riding) for demoing this summer so you all can feel the stoke of THE handmade carbon fiber boards. This company is about building the best possible boards. If your wondering how they can handmake boards in the US one at a time with the best materials out there with their own unique cutting edge process, AND still offer them at reasonable retail prices, its because profits don't interest these Texas boys.

The freeride board is the ultimate carving and surfing twin-tip board (surfing on a twintip? you cant do that! think again) for those who dare to try to surf on a twintip
The POP series is their big seller with a great balance between freeride and freestyle. its an incredible board for the gorge between swell, flatwater and great in the chop.

If anyone wants to check them out give me a shout 847 212 4035 or find me on the spit I'll be teaching at KiteTheGorge

Special thanks to Jacob from portland and Jeff Roberts for saving my kite and myself after I managed to break my donkey dick and my safety/leash line in one foul swoop after an epic 3 hours of swell riding at the white salmon bridge yesterday. yes they were actually peeling it was so good. Thanks again guys! Glad to be back in the Gorge!

Those boards are SICK! I tried out the 'pop' last year, great in the swell, great popper, fun in turns, and smooths out the chop..not to mention you can see the board from miles away!! YAAA BROBOARD!

Just wanna get the word out about these BROKITE boards, Man they are sweet. Great attention to detail and you wont find another board as strong. I took out the 134cm and cant belive how comfortable it felt, Like an old pair of shoes ya just cant throw away. I was immediately busting tricks and laying out smooth turns.

You guys gotta try one of these!

I demoed the 137 pop all day at the kite roundup and bought one the same day. Best damn board I have ever ridden. Everyone should give this board a try. The feed back I got from other riders was the same. Very Happy

SolKiter,
Looks like you are correct. Very Happy

"The BroKite team, in their usual renegade style departed this morning from the south flats of South Padre Island, TX (SPI) for a 100 mile downwinder to Corpus Christi on the Intercoastal Waterway...."

I know there is an "industry" section here. But Jerry and West really are primarily kiters, then dreamers, then doers, then artists, then designers, then craftsmen; then after all that, I suppose Industry guys.

It's crazy to see how many of their boards are around Lake Michigan.

Here is the GPS for the 1st leg of the Brokite downwinder from South Padre to Corpus. Check it out in Satelite view, approximately 80 miles of riding. FYI, there are two pages to the track.

There is no other board like it, cause we didn't use the established methods other builders employ. Simply put, we try and build the very best board possible...no constraints. The design is not sent overseas to be built in some factory in who knows where...but are all hand-built by Jerry and myself in sunny, windy Corpus Christi, Texas, USofA!!!

And yes it is very labor intensive...I mean how long do you think it takes to drink a 12 pack of Shiner Bock in 105 degrees heat and 90% humidity!!

All feedback is encouraged and welcomed. If we don't like it, we'll simply ignore it!! Cool

Back from our EPIC downwinder from SPI to Corpus and back in the shop, and kiting in Jerry's backyard!!

Get in touch if you have any questions.

Dude, Shiner Bock in the Summer? Shiner Bock and I go way back, what a nasty beer. Speaking of Texas, I actually had a dream last night that HEB built a store in Hood River. I was so stoked.
