YES!!!! Super stoked....although, this does just mean you'll have to decide on one sport or another. Or.....start the day biking and finish with some kiting. Very Happy

Stoked but still suspect. The United States and it's pledge of aligence (which now contains language that states if you hurt yourself it is someone elses fault) is going to be a huge hurdle to make a top notch mtb park. I wonder who they have on the design team? They should hire ritchey schley, he's built some of the sickest lines at whistler.

Why don't you put that in their comment box?

Really stoked for this even though it's not gonna be like Whistler. Yes, Whistler has better terrain and parks (for both snow and biking) than Mt. Hood. But, we still snowboard on Hood 'cause it's close so if they build something pretty decent for biking it'll still be a fun backyard riding spot. Besides, having more places to ride is rarely a bad thing.

Also, there's plenty of bike resorts in the US. None of them are like Whistler and liability in the US does blow, but people still have fun riding there.

I sent the forest service and timberline an email stating my support for this park. Would suggest anyone interested in mountain biking do the same. Supposedly they're still getting some pushback from fun hating groups so adding our opinions to the mix could help.

I have sent some comments as well.

Would be sick if they would do a summer combo pass, where you could have a seasons pass and choose snow or dirt on any given day. Or both.. snow shred till it gets warm, have a lunch then do some dirt runs.

Also suggested either a lifetime pass, or 5 year pass they could sell now to help fund the project and then reward the early adopters, like many ski mountains did back in the day.

...Like T-Line did years ago... The CLUB 2000 pass, which expired at the turn of century. Laughing

You guys can thank DaKine (Chico) for being a big part of the push for this park.

I can't wait it to open. Keep your comments to the FS positive was Chicos request.

Great thing to propose to Steve Kruse (T-Line Mtn Manager).

Yeah, more like start the morning skiing/boarding, then go to afternoon bike riding, then off to the water...Ohhhh, I do love Oregon!

I sent a message to Steve Kruse in support, and he responded to my questions/concerns same day. Send him a note, the more the merrier!!! Razz Razz

Steve said:

Kirstan, thanks for the support, the proposed project will be served by the Floodo lift and will have no impact on the ski operation as far as lift access. What I am hoping for is that the 2000ish people on the hill get done training and then come down and rip the bike park. The parking issue will be a challenge, although the bike operation will not open until 10, and most of the Alpine crew are heading off the hill around 11 if conditions are good, we have parking lot capacity in the summer, and I plan to run a full PL crew to maximize our use of the lot, thanks Steve
