Yes loop it! i saw that once and it seemed to work out pretty well, same setup with the boat and everything.
i jumped into water from 50ft once (off cliff). i was _nearly vertical going in but it still felt like someone dropkicked my cornhole. won't be doing that again anytime soon!
he looks higher than 50ft to me, maybe 60. i am guessing his arms would have been a bit sore without the suit since they were out to the side...

well a Meter is about 3ft right? So that would mean that he was 75 ft up, if he was as high up as the lines were long. Since he was connected to the jet ski with it looks like just a rope for wakeboarding or waterskiing I doubt it could be that high. Does look damn high tho I would be freaked out.

hes on a 100 ft climbing rope plus probably 7 ft of bungee leash. he glided directly over the ski a few times when they slowed down a bit. the line was only slightly slack so i would say hes atleast 90 ft up, possibly more. however when he let go he was not that high more like 50 ft.

Been There Done That Got the Tee Shirt...
Last Summer Jason from Seattle was having a bachlor party at 6 mile. No wind for a few days and a lot of beer drinking lead to this. Try #1 i was holding the Ski rope in one hand and the kite in the other, didn't work. Try 2 hooked ski rope into handle pass leash, took off, then Bounced off of a parked jet ski, could have been fatal. JP has picks of that.
This is the 3rd and sucessful try.
When we hit a slight breeze wind line I released the ski as i came back down, the 17.5 machine stayed in the air, and the ski pilot came buy and i scooped the tow rope and did a jet ski assisted body drag back up and towards shore, let go and looped the kite and headed to Vegas for some action!!!
Long and short is that this stuff can and is dangerous for many reasons.
I would not reccomend lettting the kite go. It is your parachute. But try it some time if you are bored, or haven't seen your emergency room doctor in a while.
