Counterfeit $10 bills??
I did not know they were printing them that small.
Consider yourself lucky that it was not a bigger ticket item. |

Or McDonalds, I recall a story where some guy used a $200 bill there and got appropriate change. He was caught, but they couldn't press charges since no $200 bills exist so it wasn't legally a counterfeit attempt. _________________ The Slider Project, LLC

What's even crazier? Copiers now have a built-in
"Shut-down & call the Feds" mode when American Currency is copied
Warning-- do not attempt this at work!! |

10's and 20's are the most counterfeit bills because nobody bothers to check them _________________ BIP- "YOUR GIRLFRIENDS FAVORITE" |

How did you find out? Was it when you tried to spend them? | No I didn't try to spend them. After he leaves I'm thinking something didn't feel right about the paper. I hold them up to a light to see if there is one of those lettered strips; no. I called the police and they said to check the serial #'s. A lot of weirdo's out there. I'll just be more careful next time. |

Totally sucks.
Are the police are serious about investigating this? It doesn't sound like it. Even if the caller-ID was blocked, the police can go back in the records and get the number. Perhaps they're too busy manning the speed traps to investigate a real crime. If this douche bag passed fake bills to you, I guarantee you he's doing it elsewhere too. |

the police seemed pretty serious about it. I called sprint to see if they could look up the #..nope.. legal. They told me the police would have to serve a subpoena . They say a penny costs more to produce than its worth. I'm sure they'll catch him sooner or later . I just wanted to post this so the peeps were informed . I put a few posts on Craigslist too I may put a few more on there for fun |

All that means is that the police need to go to a judge & show reasonable cause. I'm pretty sure the counterfeit bills would suffice. There's no reasonable expectation of privacy when you call your intended victim. Keep on the police, this ass hat deserves to be caught. If the police aren't interested enough to go see a judge, call the DA. Mention this is getting a lot of interest on the internet, politicians love that!
Have they fingerprinted the bills? Did they treat them with care? Just curious... |
