I didn't realize there was any prospect of Internet access down there... You say there is a coffee shop? Anything else?

Skimming fast this morning, caught the thread title as Wife in la ventana. Thought, sure, it's ok to take your wife to La V. Just don't look for a wife in LV. Most of the girls there are already taken. Smile

On the internet side, as long as you're not relying on high speed and just need it for e-mails with no big attachments you'll be fine. Skype works for calls but as everyone else is doing the same thing when the wind isn't blowing the connection speeds drop way down. Citrix type stuff works but can be hit and miss. Most of the resorts have something.

Forrest not only is there a coffee shop at Casa Verde, but Sarah Breeze from Dog River works there too. Also you can get Internet at Pablos for around $10 a month.

Also to let everyone know the wind down here has been epic! So if you need to escape to some warm weather and water this is the place to be. hope to see some of you guys down here real soon.

I'm sitting here now in Baja Joes in La Ventana. Yes, there is WiFi, even some wifes. Great coffee and breakfast croissants ($3). No need to get up early here as the winds don't generally kick up until about 11-12 o'clock. Great winds for the last week but yesterday was pretty light. I brought a 14m rebel and was fine. Today is supposed to be soft too. But quiet water is good for kayaking and standup paddling. Winds should be much better tomorrow and for the next week if believe in weather soothsayers.

There are computers here at BJ's and several places have wifi. Free charging stations at LAX. The water is much warmer than Hood River but cold enough that almost everyone wears wetsuits. Shorties or 2/3 would be fine. Might think about some reef shoes too as there are lots of urchins.

No worries...

I just got back from LV for three weeks. I am kind of a cold water wimp, yet only needed one of the Promotion rubberized, fleece-lined tops the whole time.
NICE!!!!

Damn I miss LV. The weather in Hood River sucks mule right now. I need powder to kick me back into winter.
