Nice Tom, looks like you do your own editing too! I like the toeside pops...but am I seeing things in the first picture? It looks like your heeledge has sidecut and the toe edge has no sidecut?

no its just optical the board is symetrical twintip with sidecuts at both sides
having sidecut is good if you want to go freestyle freeride direction

hello here,

First sorry for my bad english writing...
This board is just really well balance for a all type of use, i use it about 90% of the time, snowboarding down the steep mountains of Chamonix, down the Snowpark and in the pipe, it's great on jump and rails, and it work great for snowkiting. Wee have been working on that board for a few year's now and that was our main idea, to get a snowboard that work for every style of terrain and use...
I have tried the twisted once, witch really look like the Libtech hammock but in my point of view, the original work's better, the problem is that those kind of board work well in deep powder and off-piste tracked snow but sucks when it get harder o on piste or park (no edging), it's a one kind/type of use, i don't think reverse side cut is the way to go but in an other hand reverse camber rocks and i hope to see a Aboards snowboard going banana soon...
I haven't tried the Nobile, so i can't speak about it much, looks to me that it has a bigger edge radius witch is good for snowkiting, but give a less responsive snowboard on groomed snow...

Anyway the best, if possible, is to test drive the board to make your own opinion.

Cheers, by the way, i love the NorthWest, i am a big fan of Mt Baker (for snowboarding).

T.L.

Nice..
I want to try the "hammock-ish" boards but, seems like a board inbetween both the extreme reverse-camber(hammock and twisted) and a regular rockered, mild-sidecut(LF, ABoard) snowkiteboard would be ideal...Although I have'nt clocked sessions on the LF behind a kite yet.
I rode the Burton HERO which Blake rides and has the mid-rocker...
-with the less-aggresive sidecut (like LF or ABoard) and the mid-rocker, I think that'd be a nice set-up.

I lived in Sevilla for 8 months...
I rode the MT in Granada a couple of times...Sierra Nevada I think..

nothing beats being at the beach, then driving 2 hours to the snow..
Like Oregon, but warm Cool

I also got to attend the Carnival at Cadiz. WOW. Shocked

Kelly Slater rides for Channel Islands surfboards & he is almost 38. Tom Curren is on the CI team as well , and rips at 46.

I'm putting Chamonix on the list - looks incredible.

Im not saying there arent pros this old, but Kelly Slater was a sponsored surfer well before he was 30. Dont know who Tom Curren is or what CI is but I dont really care anyways! haha. All im saying is only in kiteboarding can someone go pro past the age of 35. Stokes all the consumers out...

hey tom,

I've checked out the Aboard and my first impression is that it is just a regular snowboard with no advancment regarding snow kiting. I personally would like to see an Aboard with rocker. But i did notice that it felt better than what i expected. It felt a lot smoother and did not burn the legs like a conventional board. I can't form an opinion as of yet since it was only one sesh and very light wind. But i'm looking forward to this winter when i can give it a full test and see what makes this a "better than average" kite snowboard.

thanks for coming on here and giving us the info on the Aboards Snowboard.
-matty

Note: If anyone is interested I will have an Aboard Snowboard that you can try out anytime.
