Anyone up to due some ice climbing in the gorge in the next couple of days? I have an old guide book and some dusty ice gear (will need to rent some plastic boots).

I'd be down with hitting some top ropes or following someone. Been way too long since I have been on the ice to lead anything serious. (Like above WI 2)

Fantastic day being mischievous in the gorge. Flash back city for John and I. Forrest was tearing it up! Kudos again to John for blowing the dust off the gear and Forrest for the last minute rally.

Nice grab on the gorge ice maybe the crown jewel next time?

How many pieces did you leave or did you get to top out in the trees?

If I didn't have a wee one here I may have the time to get up to our local ice the salt creek area.

Good shoulder season cross training with natures bonus arctic blast.

I love ice cimbing/

Man that looks fun.

One day I need to learn to do that! With the amount of mountaineering books I go through, you would think I knew something about it. Probably better for my Alabama born ass to stay closer to sea level.

Way to charge!

Monkeyboy was the bomb - just traversed out there and set 4 screws for the top rope - was pretty sketch as the ice was less than bomber (are giant cracks a bad thing)

5 and half years since my last climb is a lot of rust - laid out all the shit last night and my head started to spin...

Forrest did great, charged up like on big jugs

the gopro is a hoot (once I figure how to edit maybe 2011) will post up some video - did learn something new about myself from the helmut cam - I don't spend alot of time looking around at the scenery - twenty five mintues of climbing and spend maybe 30 seconds looking around beyond my next foot or hand hold

fun day
