meh, nothing new. when the billabong big wave odessey came scouting they found a dead deer on their front porch. people, especially surfers are territorial, even more when there's a good wave. I want to see what would happen in the Wolf Pakk showed up there

WOW - I wonder if they knew it was Lopez. If they did, that is totally wacked.
There is a backlash against SUPing where I surf. There are "NO SWEEPING" stickers posted at a lot of spots. |

well to some degree I'm scared of my own SUP ,those fukers would knock you senseless at best ,the leash in bigger surf is also scary ,they pull like a kite

I think the backlash against SUPers here (So Cal) is coming from lack of courtesy & respect from inexperienced surfers. A lot of not so good surfers (SUPers) are paddling around you for waves, picking off all the best set waves , etc.
GL seems like such a cool guy & I can't imagine him acting like a kook in the line up. That is total BS that people would mess with him. I'd be stoked to have him in the line up... |

Looks like the down-low plan enforced with non-happy behavior didn't work this time.
Who gets thier ass beat now the guys who were standing in front of the camera making the story ,blocking the camera and flipping them off. 
I am glad kiters don't act that way
cool guys and pros can be kooks to ..... at least in a assholes world
Note to self: And always bring a razor blade to new surf spots to remove wax. |
