Hilarious thread.
I'll take BWD's window concept....Typhoon's greenery touch...but pass on the teen anal.
I don't want to know when salmon are swimming or the caribou are humping because getting an email alert the wind is blowing when you can't kite is painful enough for me. "Hey Gaylord Focker...guess what you're missing!"
I got one of those digital picture frames for Christmas that rotate pics etc. Of course I loaded all nwkite pics but I ended up staring at the damn thing all day or when somebody come into my office all we do is talk about kiting....thus...delaying the shit you need to get done to actually go out and kite. It went into the round file. I have 2 framed pics now that get me by; my avatar (len10) and a packed event site during KB4C.

Oh yea we are all about keeping in touch with nature. We keep the doors open and heat off. Let the rain come through the roof and the dust through the windows. I didn't know that this is a sought after work environment.
Cool . Cold and sometimes hot, just like outside.

Friggebod huh? I was wondering what the hell those things were. Hoped that people weren't living in them... It's just that the only thing I had to compare them to were trailer parks.
Stringer!, is right. Keep the tunes going if you can.
PM in the works.

Christopher Alexander much, then? nice ideas, hard to implement. Have a go though....
Friggebod park for a workplace, with make-your-own windows , not bad...
even better if walking distance to water ....dreaming...

@bwd It took some research for me to understand the Christopher Alexander reference, but yeah! That's one hell of a parallel. Adaptability of the solution to its precise environment, empowering the user to make their own decisions while being guided by a pattern language, etc.
@growndzkeeper As far as Friggebods go, I'm hoping for something a bit more welcoming than a trailer! Pixar has a cubicle setup in one of their departments that's largely comprised of tiny houses. Thanks for the message!
@stringer Sun Ra was brilliant. Or insane. Nothin' like a musician who sincerely believed he was from Saturn, and wanted to hitch ride on the space shuttle with his band so they could play music in space for "the aliens" and hopefully attract them to Earth.
@sella 'preciate the reality check. It's a tough balancing act... offering enough information or "experience" to improve people's workday, without making them depressed that they're missing the "good stuff" goin' down outside.

hmmmm, that pixar hangar = Creeper's Magic Village?
You may want to check out an Alexander book, if you haven't yet, the one that is mostly pictures is good, I think it is the 2nd in the pattern language series. (?) Lots of interesting vernacular and nonwestern stuff in there...
The website when I last saw it a few years ago was a little sparse.
Sorry if I was too vague... Careful with that chainsaw....
I saw Sun Ra play back in the day. Booked him to play at my college in fact, but he got sick, cancelled his tour, and promptly went on to join the stars. RIP. Kinda dates me doesn't it anyway, the kids just kept listening to Jerry, widespread panic, grunge and dave mathews.... almost makes me feel guilty not quite tho.
