Haha, thanks Gman. Glad to join the team on such a monumental day. Still got the rush

FYI, the big sets were breaking past the jetty, not sure if you can see em in the pics.

About 10-15 miles East of Newport on the way back. There were two separate crests on fire and some of the surrounding area as well. Crazy that anything could burn after all the rain.

Nice grab guys! Those waves look pretty darn good, have some logic to them. Love NW'erlies in the fall/winter.

North wind = south jetty
north jetty was death

- there where some serious bombs - a wave crashed over me taking these pictures standing on the jetty just past the car

- scored 4 really nice bombs on the outside but there was no hanging around on the outside Laughing

One question............Why?

Just fly ur kite in a washing machine then smack ur self in the face with wet towels. Then, turn the spin cycle on cool in the dryer and step right in. Maybe...just maybe....at this point you might be having more fun then riding in that Shocked

If everyone preferred hanging out with a washing machine we probably would've never had kite gear invented in the first place. But hey, we don't discriminate. If you enjoy washing machines and a bit of facial action then power to ya.

I guess that's why krazed kiter lives in FL and not OR.

I head FL is super fun if you like 12 meter kites and 3 foot swell.

(and the occasional hurricane to destroy the house for which insurance is no longer available)

50 degree driving rain and triple O - welcome to the Phivothri!

http://www.vimeo.com/2653992

After six months of windless doldrums - I know many a Floridian that would give their left testicle to get a powered wave kite sess

Hey! We get white caps as high as 2 feet! And obviously you missed the video on Hurricane kiting eh Laughing

Plus, the landlord dont visit. We kite 9 months out of the year and rarely need anything above a shorty. Butterflat riding to overhead waves within an hour drive. Chics on boats.... Let me repeat. Chics on boats....Every where!

And........you ever ride on the wake of a 150 feet mega yacht? Will put your OR coast to shame.

Dont freeze your nuts off.

Aloha
