funny - that mayhem was inspired by my poledancing buddy Matt - after 15min of watching - "I get it - we are getting a sled - now lets roll"
Boiler bay is that third shot! thought i was going to get covered up on 101

Those waves do not look too big.... Until you see the jetski and the surfer.
Wow. I would love to go out there on a jetski and watch just to get a better perspective on how massive those waves are.

Once again John Forse aka "The Ginnie" made the right call be predicting epic conditions yesterday. This was my second year watching the Nelcott Reef contest and it went off again. I felt lucky to have had the day off and all whose who were there got to witnessed some "real deal" tow-in surfing on the west coast. There were so many great drop in, but no surprise that Alistair Craft won again this year, that guy was absolutely killing it with huge cut backs and full barreling exits as the massive curtains of water closed out. Although, we were all wondering who was on the south Reef, it looked so big in those perfect walls of glassy smooth water (must have been Parson and Lopez again). We bailed around 1:00pm so we could get a Black Rock freeride mtn bike session on the way back to the Hood. If you ride you must get out there to Fall City sometime, it make Posty seem small.
