Yes, I have kited that area and understand how much wind is needed and how un-clean it can be. Guess the subliminal point I was trying to make was similar to Sasquatch’s comment in that I would sure hate to read about a kiter (read as: one of you guys) drowning in the river or getting run over by a barge (or eaten alive by a giant sea lion).
And, it’s only “more fun than sitting at home” if you make it back home to realize, “Hey that was gnarly, but fun.” If you don’t make it home, well not so much fun for your family and loved ones…
Not trying to play the “Fokitten safety saint” here, just saying be careful out there guys. Sounds like you were pushing your luck! ~D |
