wilsonville toyota. Pretty good group. however, ron tonkin toyota on the east side generally has lower prices (but they will try and sneak as much money in the invoice at the last minute - they tried to get me to pay another $300 for "etched windows" I don't even know what etched windows are - but I don't want to pay $300 for them) _________________ Still rockin gojos, *ssless chaps, and ankle weights! |

How could you not get "etched windows" - these are windows magically etched with a serial number that lets the cops track thieves - unless they broke your window to get the stuff out of your car - then it doesn't work so well _________________ Go Deep!

The only Honda dealership my fam would ever deal with is St. John's around the Portland area. Because you're dealing directly with the "sales managers" there's no running back and forth to check pricing (and they'd always tell you straight off the bat the best price they could do). Not sure if they're still around though.

And etching the windows depends on the car. I'm sure they're all etched from the factory nowadays, but it didn't use to be like that. The dealership used to have to do it upon purchase. |

I'll nominate the FUCKING WORST... BROADWAY TOYOTA.

I bought my matrix there new 5 years ago. Never again. I came prepared with everything, MSRP, dealer wholesale costs, credit report, trade in value appraisals. Still took 3 separate trips full of flat out lying to my face.

On my last visit I finally said, ya know what, fuck you I'm going to beaverton toyota and buying the same car". "ohhh hold on, ok , ok, let me talk to the manager yada yada yadaa". Ok, we have a deal...

What is it with car salesman that they think that everyone in the world is a complete idiot? |

I just told them I didn't want them - didn't know what they were - and I wasn't going to pay for them. They took off the charge. But if I knew they were magical - maybe I would have shelled out the $300 bones _________________ Still rockin gojos, *ssless chaps, and ankle weights! |

I had them on my Acura and got an insurance discount for them as theft protection. |

They all suck...are you buying new? If not just buy private party and have a mechanic check it out...it will save you thousands.

If you must buy from a dealer go through their internet sales department and have it all worked out before you even go there...my friend did that and was out of the dealership with the car he wanted in under an hour. |

				| Ditto to BB's advice or go through Costco program with no haggling - compare costco price with internet dept. of dealer as internet price may be lower or higher depending on make/ model. NEVER just walk onto a car lot or you will be taken for a ride by the car dogs. |

Perhaps it is just me, but how does any of this relate to kiting?

On a more positive and exciting note, the East winds of autumn are coming and appear to be staying for most of this coming week!

Lets get'em. |

Exactly. Though topic is marked OT.

Hands down internet department is the way to go. Negotiate through email, and bring the printout to the showroom.

And again it might depend on the car you want to buy. I got what it seems to be the very last blue FJ in the country from Vancouver Toyota. Don't even ask if I got a good deal But the joint seemed reasonable and quick. I drove off in less than an hour. |

Is it still running? How did it end up in the ocean? The picture looks like an interesting story |

Whats with certified pre-owned car bullshit anyway. Its still freakin used and beat to shit by the previous owner.

The dealer "says" they checked this and that from head to toe and its a great used rolling turd.............Its the same as saying I have a pre-certified girlfriend, She has been Checked under the hood and is pre-certified been fucked by another guy

Dealers are all scammers because there are so many idiots to fall for there B.S. Its sucks that one has to hassle the bejesus out of them to keep from getting ripped off.

F.Y.I- I will pre-certify your girlfriend for free |
