Congrats to Jeri for getting CrossFit Hood River off the ground! Thumb's Up She should have a gym up and running shortly, otherwise outdoors with several free intro sessions each week... http://crossfithoodriver.com/

Thanks for that Colby, those are great shots! I can't believe you were able to get some good stuff with that challenging 6:30 am lighting we were working with. They look awesome!

Hey jeri, where is a good place that explains how to do someo f these excersizes and what the acronyms stand for. I would love to try some of them but since I live in hillsboro, won't be doing it in Hood river any time soon.

Her website has good detail. There is a great list of "At home" workout's to do and details about what to expect etc..etc. Good stuff for kiting for sure.

I see the at home workouts, but I don't understand what some of the stuff is, same as the Workouts of the Day, they ahve names for things that I don't understand. Like for example what is a Burpee? I would hope it involves eating lots of pizza, and drinking lots of beer, but sadly I am sure I am wrong Laughing I know I could google it, but if she had a quick link to the terminology that would be cool.

Check the Glossary http://crossfithoodriver.com/skills-glossary/ --- Its a slowly growing list. The BIG list is here: http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/excercise.html -- and yes. Of course, you gotta be careful with lifting weight or trying crazy gymnastic / ring moves/parkour/etc if you don't know how. That's why you come to me! I could go on all day about how awesome CrossFit is for athletic developent/injury prevention, etc.. But, if you can't be so lucky to make it out to the gorge, theres always CrossFit Portland or CrossFit HEL, they're doin it right, Portland style..

Jeri

Yes Monkey. Email me your bank account number and I'll tell you how for the low payment of $19.95 a month. It's easy, and if you send it to me in the next 24 hours I'll throw in this lovely Wipika for free!
