wag just enough to feel it move

very little really

keep your eye on the horizon

and it's push pull ,the harder and faster the better

I sheet out so it turns faster

off a ramp, when I leave a large wave lines are almost slack and a lot of speed

 hoping for a gust

then a deadman with a look back |

				| No wagging required IMHO. I like to bring the kite back to around 1:00 and leave it there on the ascent. When you reach the top of the jump, sheet out on the bar. You'll come screaming down toward the water, but build up potential energy in the kite in the process. As you get close to the landing, sheet in hard and pull hard on your front hand. If you don't hear the kite you aren't pulling hard enough. I pull about as hard as I do on a kiteloop and often will just keep it sheeted in for a downloop transition. It works no matter how big the jump for me and you can touch down planning with almost zero force. |

I think wagging depends on the kite.

I had an eclipse thruster 10m for awhile and it seemed like that kite did not like to sit still. I had to wag it just to keep it over head. probably because I'm not skilled in the ways of flying an eclipse.

my kahoona on the other hand has more direct steering input and slower steering and it will easily sit right at 12 or 11 or 10 or wherever I want it to. just point and place and it stays there. really instills a lot of confidence actually

I'm not trying to pimp or bad mouth. just using those 2 as examples since at some point I have owned both and they are a good example of eclipse being expert super high performance and kahoona being ultra forgiving all around beginner _________________ www.youtube.com/c/christianjohnsons |

				perhaps,

but could be tension on the lines in the less pull parts of the jump

I whip the kite around past, the apex to feel the direction the kite is going without looking,on the way down,

a loop could help here too,

but true some kites have more feel than others |

				I was on a 3 meter

today

it was blowin 5 knots

floaty jumps, not fast to come down

felt like i was on a

16 meter

its not the kite but

the kiter

Come to Florida for

big floaty

3 meter days

Just messin'. My Best nemesis (Yes NW kiters, there is life after Slingy) rerquires me to work it, and the kite too. If I keep sheeted in too long after the apex, down I go like a rock. Gues that could help you slow your forward speed also Redirect too late or bring your kite back too far and dangle becomes your middle name. Although i have not mastered it, I think mega jumps call for loopin the kite after the apex to bleed off that speed. Bringing the kite back too far past 12 to help slow your speed is too risky on a huge boost because you may lose forward speed, but you run the risk of droppin like a rock which may be just as bad. _________________ __________________________
