I've been towed up with my regular kite to 70ft+, somewhere there is a picture of it.
That was fun/insanely scary. I had some control where I could come down, skim my feet, then send the kite and instantly get sent 70 feet straight up.
Probably don't want to market that though.... it'd kill a lot of people for sure. I did a couple times, will never do it with that much rope again.

That shit is so gay, and so is this thread about it. Who cares if you can loop it, and why the hell would you want a bridal on it?? Gotta depower that wakekite or what?? Even if that thing made you lunch and brought it to the boat for you it would still be gay. And Cory Roesler is the shit and would never invent such a gay thing as the wakekite.

surprising how little air & hang time they could get given good & non-stop apparent wind.
of course, this wouldn't beat true kiting, but compared to wake boarding, I can imagine that if the kite got better and more responsive, it could be fun. everyone says gay now but after a few months of no wind gay kiting will sound pretty good...

Yes, its very much like prison. At first your cell mate doesn't look so good. But then give it 10 years into a life sentence and all of a sudden toothless jethro doesn't look like such a bad option after all.

Mr. Ed is right...I as well was surpised at how much speed it takes to get good lift plus it's pulling you up from behind so different feel.
Next summer I'll bring mine out to the Sandbar on a no wind day for the "gay / no gay" comparison ride. It comes with a repair warranty from Airtime so trash away. Maybe we can even get Ian to boot up and boost over the slider for a "gay photo" op sporting the wife beater and all???

Couldn't you just bring the boat out and less us wakeboard behind it? You'd probably see way better riding that way anyway.
