Yeah there is suppose to be a shit load on the coast, South wind too... Worth the cold and rain with possible thunder showers? I'll go if someone else does Laughing. I think Rufus is the best bet this weekend.

Yes, there could be rain on the coast tomorrow. Best not to go near the S 25 knot winds and west swell building to 8ft.

Count me in for Saturday and/or Sunday. I am vacationing in Manzanita. I am with all my gear and would love to meet up with other kiters on the coast. If you are planning on kiting on the coast, please let me know. Manzanita, Cannon Beach or more north?

We're going to Siletz sunday, should be a good time of showing off in front of Mo's!
If you want to get an idea of what is like to kite the bay in december/january, come to the siletz on sunday, its going to be epic!

Likely weather:

1. Sunny upon arrival, windy.

2. Large incoming squall about a mile offshore, rig up quickly and get in wetsuit before...

3. Squall hits, 35mph winds, rain, possibly hail, lots of big jumps, surprised/excited tourists at Mo's.

4. Sunny, blue sky, steady winds, time to relax, maybe have a snack, keep eye on next incoming squall with curtain of rainy, doom fast approaching.

5. Repeat! Very Happy

I can't wait!!

I'm not sure which is more tired? My arms and legs from kiting Thurs, Sat and Sun SW goofy foot madness or my eyes, from all that sunshine and wildlife viewing? Tons of bait fish, whales, and lots of birds. Good times.
