Duck.... its whats for dinner!
(not to jam them when their down... ok just a couple)
Thought the ESPN guy was dead on during the half time show. He said "now I know what the O on each side of the helmet means.... 0 first downs, 0 points!"
Just watched the Assault footage.... Hope he doesn't get away with assaulting others. What kind of message does that send?

l like how he keeps his helmet on while punching a guy with no protection - i guess the sucker punch isn't advantage enough.
interesting to see if the ducks will show some integrity here and bench him for multiple games (if not yank his scholarship entirely). based on their history, i'd guess blount will sit one game at most. |

Now that's some funny shiat,
Ducks fans in Boise were loud and proud about their boys, the Broncs shut them up quick, ESPN had it dialed with zoomed in coverage of OU fans weeping in their seats...this was only the 2nd quarter too with zero 1st downs or points.
Ha to all those 'donkey' and 'pony' haters, BSU wins again!

BSU was clearly the better team and the score should of been even more lopsided.
Ducks were pathetic and Boise moved the ball well, especially in the first half.
Second half both teams were fishing in the sewer.
Painful to watch and Blount is a punk. |

pro hockey? or ncaa?
i've watched a fair bit of college hockey (i'm from vt). never seen anything like that.
i played hockey as a kid. my dad was a coach. you toss a punch at another kid on the ice, you're gone, sell your skates cause you won't go inside that rink again. |

I think the clear difference here is the guy just walked up and sucker punched him. I did see plenty of fights incollege hockey (attended University of North Dakota for 3 years), but noone ever just walked up and sucker punched a guy as they were leaving the ice. |

It just seems that whenever there is a punch thrown in football, basketball, or baseball everyone loses there shit. Again ranting. |

Don't know what video you watched but Blount definitely didn't "just walk up and sucker punch him". the Boise State player definitely egged him on then gave him an insulting pat on the shoulder so Blount smacked the smirk off his face, sucker punch? yes, but not unwarranted. It's actually nice to see Blount one punch that guy because so many times you'll hear somebody run their mouth without any consequences. but how blount composed himself after was an absolute embarassment.

I watched it like 10 times at lunch - they kept playing it over and over. Here is a brief summary:
Opposing team member appears to come up and yell something at Blount - mocking or taunting - taps him on the shoulder pad then sort of just spins off and turns around - looks like the opposing guy was smiling - sort of like "In your face" moment. Blount apparantly doesn't like this sort of treatment - walks over and punches the dude in the face - enough to knock him down - and the opposing guy wasn't looking in Blount's direction. To keep it fair - whatever the opposing guy said/did - it was enough for his own coach to reach for him and scold him. He didn't get too much of a scolding cus thats when Blount punched the dude in the face.
