I have an old directional kiteboard that uses mini-tuttle fins and I was hoping to experiment with some different designs.

anybody know where a good source is to get MT-BOX fins (mini tuttle) fins?

I already bought some of these but I was hoping to find something maybe a little longer.

We have a bunch of Curtis, Slingshot and Gorge Fin Connection Mini-Tuttle box surf fins on consignment at 2nd Wind. The are in our glass display case facing the car couch, so you will have to ask one of our staff to pull them out for you to look at.
Prices range from $5 to $15 ea.

thanks guys.

Hey Pepi, is there anyway I could get someone to post a picture of those fins in the glass case? I live about a 5 hour drive away from 2nd wind. otherwise I would stop in there this weekend Sad

I'm looking for something that is going to give me maximum upwind performance.

I'm curious to what kind of board you have with the mini tuttle?

I was just curious.

Those fins are a pain in the ass to find.

FCS makes adapter kits.

Check through magic seaweed.

If you cut off the tail right behind the pad and put on a couple of windsurfing pointer fins, you'd have a new 2011 race board proto.

We have those adapter plugs from FCS. Still not much available in the two plug fcs thats bigger than 5". The FCS fins in large twin fin style tend to bust when used in a kiteboard application . I thinkl the new race fins from North are tuttle.

haha I know right?!?

its a little bit narrow compared to the race boards (only about 17" wide) but I'll bet it could still do some damage in a race if it was modded properly.

I need a buddy who is good at fiberglass work that I can have chop it and add some more readily available fin boxes in exchange for beer or something Smile

what is the school of thought behind chopping the tail anyway? I plan on just screwing around with this board so not riding it competitively. I'm kinda curious what difference I would see in its riding characteristics by chopping the tail
