Here's a first look at the new 2010 LF control bar with the new CPR- Center Line Push Release system.
Nate originally posted in the industry section... but I think a good video deserves some play in the main forum...

Actually they like totally already have that bar its called the Slingshot control bar.
Wait did I say that out loud??
Well I guess if everyone else in the industry decided to copy the slingshot bar, liquid force shouldnt miss out.
In fact, we were just commenting today on how Liquid Force did the best job of anyone so far at not only replicating the functionality of the control bar but also the bold clean look of the black and white slingy bar.
Definitely says something about the innovations in kiteboarding and where they are coming from, when a top company like Liquid Force looks to Slingshot not only for functional design but for the look and color styling as well.
If you look in the hands of some of the most sickest, steeziest, kiteloopenest, big air catchingist, boschmosis throwingist, blind landingist, foot hook dangleist, board off killengist, and deadman extraoridnarists, you will see they have been choosing the Slingshot control bar for years now.

I think its funny when you say "they totally already have that bar" you refer to the one that just came out this month. lol
I think the liquid force one looks totally different. I was worried about having a chickenloop come off and get lost but feeding the leash through the loop is a great idea. nice vid. I won't be buying one right away but if they hold up to abuse better then the last liquid force bar I could see myself getting one of these very soon.
any idea what the sticker price is supposed to be on the new liquid force bar?
i know the last design was dirt cheap but I've heard the release gets jammed with sand and doesn't work very well so maybe that's why the price was so low on those. _________________ www.youtube.com/c/christianjohnsons

I like the PUSH release on the new bars , Good to see this becoming an Industry Standard.
Never had a problem loosing chicken loops. _________________ www.cautionkites.com

Jeezus, Ian, chill out.
While you're at it, don't forget to mention that all of these companies are also paying royalty fees to another company for them having actually developed this idea 7 years ago and still maintaining a patent on it.
Anything that helps standardize/improve our sport's safety systems is a good thing and shouldn't get bashed.
At least the vid is an appropriate length for an instructional clip.

hahaha Tekko your a hypocrite fo sure..... i guess some of you forum heroes dont have to follow the rules, i.e. industry section senor. i have to agree with previous posters, alot you nwkite trolls leave alot to be desired especially that monkey boy character. who does he think he is anyway ? bring that aggro shit down here and see what happens. i am sure alot of the forum readers get really tired of his continuous bs/rudeness. monkeyboy you got a bad vibe man.

When comparing the images of both control bars, it's obvious they are both totally different.
A major step up from both companies from what was offered in the past.
A release system should be easy to deploy regardless of conditions and also easy to reassemble while you are in the water.
Both of these systems seem to do that, at least easier than the previous product they provided.
Major props to both Slingshot and Liquid Force for building a better product. _________________ www.jimstringfellow.com

Sick setup! Cant wait to get mine - I rode the new Envy with this bar at KB4C and liked how if you do lose the chicken loop it floats so you can find it. Pepi when are you getting this in the shop?
