Shit, now we have to worry about donkeys!?!?!?
Damn it, I'm gonna have bad nightmares involving donkeys, sharks and lightning all at once!

If your scared of sharks your probably scared of lightning as well. not sure which one is a dumber fear.

Lightning is definitely the dumber fear, especially if you're on the southern OR coast. I had a female roommate a number of years back who took up surfing one summer. She was out every weekend, except every fourth weekend or so she would stay in town. Took me a while to figure out why that was...
Took you a while to figure that out? Is that why you refer to her as roommate instead of ex Laughing Question

As a matter of fact, she was just a roommate, or housemate, I should say. Kind of a shame really, but that's another story... Does get one to thinking, though, that there's an awful lot we take for granted, those of us in possession of a Y chromosome...

Everything happens as God Wishes.

If God wishes a shark to bite you, sorry you're having a Bad Day..

But today, God wishes that I go kiting and have a great time. Tell your wife that next time she gives you grief!

God wishes that I kite in salt water Monday/Tuesday through Thursday, after big days in the ditch.

Have fun, as God Wishes!

I think like 2 or 3 summers ago a surfer got bit right off the jetty at Florence, exact same place we kite. The shark didn't formally introduce himself, but probably a safe bet it was a great white.

Very next day, the forecast looks good, so I head there thinking "no crowds today". Wrong - there's like 10 kiters chewing it up. Rolling Eyes

Everyone once in a while, as blowhard passed me I'd yell "shark" and point in a random direction, but it didn't seem to faze him, he scored all the good waves anyway.

Blowhard is only 29. That's why he owns the lineup, just a little too much sun.

But there are 50 times more people get killed by donkeys in Tijuana than anywhere else on the planet.

The probability of getting bit by a shark on the southern coast is higher because southern oregon kiters don't bathe. Laughing
