Our engine....is 25 meters up charging hard....always. Understand the difference/associated risk you take. |
We need a method to kill the kite that doesn't require set of learned motor responses that one may not be able to perform while being dragged/lofted and flailing at 40mph. It doesn't take a hard downwind object to maim; you can be severely injured or worse out on the water. Somehow I can't see how I can always "not be stupid" to minimize the risk of certain events that statistically are impossible to eliminate; unforeseen gust, line wrapped around bar, etc. Of course just wishing for something doesn't make it happen but I'm going to keep on thinking about what might work and hopefully someone else will beat me to a solution. |

I've actually had what I believe part of the solution to be for a couple of years. I thought designing it would be the hard part, as it turns out production is tougher. (For someone with limited capitol.)
I try & maintain a low profile with it now because there have been so many setbacks in production. I have most of the parts for the first production run in my basement. Just recently got good samples for the final two parts, so hopefuly I'll get a production run of those parts soon. If that happens I'll start assembling production units.
I haven't updated the website in a long time. The KiteRelease has evolved & improved a bit, but basically it's still the same operationally.
