Ok people, here is the deal.

Its sunny, its warm, and its windy. Summer officially starts in a week or two and there are all kinds of events going on in the gorge. Now, like never before, it seems like there are a million facets and ways to enjoy being a kiter. Cruising, dangling, strapless skim, surfing, wakestyle, dangling, sliders, racers. Things are getting crowded, launches are shut down, and new places are being discovered.

As much as their are things to complain about, there is a great deal more to be happy about. So the main point of this thread is....

STOP THE HATING AND BITCHING ALREADY!!!!

Every year the forum gets catty/bitchy in the winter because its always raining and everyone is Jonesing for their fix. But it seems like this year the bitching and whining are going on a little too long. Just looking through the threads a bunch of them start to digress into negative bullshit. I'm not saying I'm not guilty at times but there is a difference between jabbing at your friends,being a smartass, and just pissing on the parade. The last straw was some coward creating a new user name just to go way overboard and insult a whole group of kiters that add allot to our community. So just as a refresher...

yeah, dogs shit in the sand
yeah, running the CGKA is tough
yeah, a contest where your friends vote isn't fair
yeah, the spit is crowded and the port is way slanted towards windsurfers
yeah, some people like to dangle
yeah, some people like to fly this kite and that kite and the other kite..news flash, it doesn't matter.

Maybe I'm completely off base as I didn't get much sleep but I think we need to step back at times and remember that one of the coolest things about kiting is the people. yeah, not everyone is cool but there are enough cool people out there that you don't need to work to hard to hang out with them and share the stoke. Focusing on the negative is easy, i mean, shit, this post is about the negative.

But lets remember how unique, amazing, and inspiring this sport and the gorge is. Fuck the little stuff.
