Kite specific wetsuits, accessories and apparel.

Go ask Scotty at Gorge Surf Shop about the wetsuits. It would be great to see them carry more ION gear!
I just bought the harness (if anyone found a blue girl Dakine harness at the event site- it's mine!)- I love it! It's bomber.

I'm not bummed at all. When your as big as me you don't expect anything to fit.
Great event Mo! Thanks for everything. It was a perfect day for team Fun Junkies.
Thanks to ION for putting on the event. I hope they get some images they can use.

Art and contests go together like peanut butter and razor blades, generally, but here's my rundown, in order of appearance:
Rico's hi-contrast shot: Nice, balanced, pro shot. + +
Inept's "Pondscum" shot and tailpress on the gapped rail are my faves!
The surfboard carve and the boost over babes, plus the booost in front of a cloud, stringy's hits for me.
Yeller's pursuit shot is also the kind I like!
I wouldn't complain about not winning a contest. Art contests tend to be about the contest, not the art.
I'll just add, Inept I think with the 2 shots I mentioned you show you've got it as a photographer. Often, photo contests are run in two "categories."
From what's online it looks like most of yours belonged in one category, most of the others in another.
And rico, that kite eating dog, damn!

Tue Jun 16, 09 8:18 am And the Winner of the 2010 ION photo... |
|

I have been asked by my client to explain some things to those of you who don't understand how things work...
Though it appears as a normal photo contest with an open ballot system, much like any election that takes place anywhere in the world, there are powers at work here, just beneath the surface, that demand your respect as they control the outcome of future events. Their interest here goes beyond the high paying and glamorous world of kiteboard photography. They hired me because I can convey their message and also demand the respect they require.
It is a very simple message-
All you aspiring photographers need to stay in your place.
The money is spoken for.
Please don't show up to Slider Jam as there will be, shall we say, a strong Seattle influence. I kindly ask that you don't make us do anything you will regret.
I thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
the "Big drunk dude" who ain't scared to grab your neck or ass

I have the quantum 5/4 I have worn all of this winter in Seattle. very good quality and kite specific build.
Thanks again Moria and ION for the fun weeekend.

Hey, big dumbass. Just a few things. You should probably stop acting like yer some sort of Hood River Local/Enforcer........because you aren't.
The seattle influence you speak of has had little to do with the weeks of labor going into this weekend, and we'd advise you not to show up to the slider jam....because well, you suck at kiting and wont event be allowed the event area. we wouldnt want you seattle people to hurt yourselves. We kindly ask that you stop pretending you hold it down here, and find another spot to be an asshole.
Furthermore, to the Seattle crew...... DO NOT CONSIDER IT A BADGE OF HONOR to road trip down here. You brag about it all the time, but im sure THE EARTH WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU FOUND SOMEWHERE TO KITE CLOSER TO HOME. not to mention all the locals..... Its become a classic scenario where some out-of-towners now feel entitled to sh*t because of the commute they make. this is THE HOOD. not YOUR hood. stop acting like it.

"Big Dick"
Seattle folks are soooo nice that it makes me laugh to think of how they will react to your spew above. They are not used to insults. Conflict is avoided at all possible costs.
The new screen name you are hiding behind is fitting.
You truly are a Big Dick.
See you this weekend.

I couldn't agree more...the Seattle crew is awesome...they always bring a ton of stoke to the beach. I wouldn't worry about what small dick said prob just someone screwing around anyway.

Easy Now BD...
While I am not at liberty to discuss the details, let me assure you that my employer does not hail from Seattle. Our companies do practice business there, and for this we take offense to your comments. Your anonymous posts deeply sadden my employer. He has arranged a PM (private meeting, that is) at your home, to discuss your attitude. I think you will see things our way soon.
thank you
