Hi Railfgrab :
The Slider Project is mostly intending to tape off a section of the sandbar for both safety and photographers viewpoint integrity.
This event will likely be drawing a large crowd of viewers as a result of the large scaled size features and the level of riders (Ruben, Aaron, Dre, Morris, Moehau, Sleezak, Billy Parker, etc........).
I don't think that they intend to obstruct any of the upwind areas and in fact will likely be farther downwind than most average kiters ever want to be.
Forrest, Nate or Joby will likely send a follow up post on this with more adequate details than I have provided.
In regards to the Slider Jam Party in the evening that 2nd Wind Sports is putting on, we will have a small section of the parking lot hillside roped off for the snow and rail features that will only be accessible to handpicked individuals who have completed the proper liability and safety waivers.
All of the rest of the sandbar area will be open for people to enjoy via the live music, dj, tents, bonfire, etc....... All until around midnight, when I have to then lock up the gate to the Sandbar. Any cars will be locked in until morning, but will not face any fines or tickets if left overnight.
