I think I am headed for the Gorge, so still no Sauvie action for me yet this year. Have fun out there though!

South Jetty Newport was N 30-34. Wound up pretty good but not topped out on the Octane 8. I think 4 of us were out at one point but that was about it. GUSTY!

I windsurfed Dougs, was suprised to see zero kites anywhere Dougs, HR, Lyle, Secret Spot - maybe they were out east or everyone went to SI or the coast.

Tom and Phil got some riding in at Rufus. I was a bit late to get on the water, but I did take some pictures.

Nice work Phil & Tom! - got shut out at Stevenson - setup just in time for everyhing to turn north and off - some entertainment Laughing watching BamBam and Chris fight for their lives to get back (I swear the windometer completely stopped spinning).

Heading back to portland decided to check out RR just for the hell of it - the wind was north but seemed doeable? but the water is sadly up to the strairs - contemplated a self launch on the lawn and walk down the stairs but I figured hitting the crack pipe was a better plan.

Nearly threw in the towel, but decided to check out PDX - the wind was kicking NNW 10-25 - nice beach, easy launch, third time is a charm. Wave

Yeah the beach has some more debri. No one has torched the piles yet either. The beach could use a round two of cleaning. Lets just throw it all back in the river! (did I say that?? Easy angry fisherman!)

tanks for the snaps rollo!

adam - 9m pretty damn lit at times especially in that rufus current.

the wind wasn't bad though a few times it had hints of the northerly devil wind that plagues that spot later in the day (it was mostly on the washington side of the river though.) a few times I'd jump and them come down kersplat style because the wind cut out mid jump. For those I'd "land" ass first legs in the air, keeps me from busting my legs. Very Happy
