Kiting is a job. Unemployment is always a great alternative too. As a last resort you can find a job with a flexible schedule.

We hit a light stretch while we were there. 10 - 12 mph the first day (12m & 14m kites), then we had a good day of 15 to 20 mph and got out on the 10m & 12m. The last day barely got to 10 mph and we slogged around a bit on the 14 - then we went and hung out at the beach bars!
We were the only Yanks around. Met a couple from Australia and England that we had some drinks with but everyone else was Italian, French or German. Lots more windsurfers than kiters as well. Probably 2 to 1.
Our jobs have evolved the last couple of years but Carol and I mostly do our work (project scheduling) remotely with occasional site visits to our client's projects or offices. We're pretty busy but generally have some flexibility where we can work in the morning, kite in the afternoon, then catch up in the evening. We end up working 3 out of 4 weekends every month and we always have to work on our "vacations" but we really can't complain as we get to kite a lot more than most people. All the hard work over the last 25 years is starting to pay off.

Don't let the front fool you. Tony and Carol are mobsters. Grom and Shanon are the muscle behind the operation.
Seriously though, their jobs are quite hazerdous. They could easily throw their backs out carrying around, what has to be, the largest production lap tops in the world. !!
Not hating, just extremely jealous.

Our laptops weigh 20 lbs - without the 3 lb power brick! So I get some exercise on travel days lugging it through the airport! Stringy's Mac is a tad bigger so he has us beat in that department.
