I would appreciate some opinion and advice on kite sizing.
I am a 220lb progressing intermediate - been riding 9M and 12M Rebels.

It's time to buy new kites. I will probably stay with the Rebels, but am interested to know if there is opinion on alternate sizes. These two kites have pretty much covered me when I wanted to kite, except maybe a real light wind day at Floras.

I ride the Gorge, Ventana, and Floras. As a 'not young guy' I am not compelled to ride the most knarly conditions.

Whadda ya think? Do I need a 7 or 16 in addition to the 9 & 12 or some complete other set up?

Thanks!

9 and 12 for your main kites. a 7 for windy days. Mix in a second board or surfboard and you are fully covered.

Ps make sure to try as many different kites as you can. CGKA demo days this summer is a good spot.

Have fun

At about 200lb I get by with 9 and 14m. My 12 and 14 seem to overlap on the high end, byt 14 has better lower wind capability.

at 220 I think 10/14 will be better for you. A 7 would be nice, but at 220 not a must 'cause you will want avg wind speeds of 28+ to use it

I weigh 200 on a good day.

I have an 8 10 14 and a couple boards. I wouldn't go bigger than a 14 or 15 and I may pick up a 6 for those RR scary days.
