care to lay some money or beer on that bet? I think Mark has some gopro footage of me doing it. A traditional jibe is more fun.
The one I can't do is the slide the rear around transition. |

it would be special ed.,
I've been going strapless for about a year off and on.
The thing I like about strapless is the connection to your kite. You pay way more attention to the kite and board without straps. Plus, I'm not young anymore and I can't do hardcore loops and stuff that hurts my body.
It's really nice to get off of my fuse and jump onto my sst. The fungshuei of it is really nice. It just feels really good to make a clean gybe.

Good vid...I started trying these but had no luck at SI the other day...
Seems like a good move for getting back up wind and getting to the waves you want. |

| I have been trying these things for a couple of weeks and getting pretty frustrated - I could make 1 in 10 but no consistency. Had a break thru today and figured out what I was doing wrong. The trick was to really feel the pull over the back shoulder before doing the spin (made 8 in a row). Hope this helps. |

Cosmo,
I have had a little luck rotating over the nose of the board. Where my initial front foot pulls the nose under me just before I unwieght and rotate around.
I guess this is a "regular" tack?
Are you saying waiting for the pull of the kite is helping you rotate around the back of the board, like the Caution guy in the video? |

I think my biggest problem was kite timing, not foot work. So waiting till the kite was pulling over the back shoulder seemed to solve my kite timing problem. In the video the bar is really high has the kite passes thru 12.
I can do the push pull tack but my luck seemed really dependant on chop. Thats why this tack looked interesting - I wanna use it at the coast and not spend alot of time in the water humming the Jaws theme song |
