What do u think of riders who ride strapped or strapless in the Gorge?
I don't care either way...just funny how far back straps on a surfboard slow people down. |

| bindings on the surfboard is definitely the way to go. I just picked up a pair of unions for my SS sst. Going to just epoxy them in place. |

I let lil Joe ride my skim, while i rode his Hein TT with my sneakers behind the straps - that is fun - may turn my old 2003 slingy TT into a wakeskate

Strapless on a mini TT=wakeskate...almost.
I want to own a cable park...can u imagine the success if there was one near PDX? Too bad we're not in FL. |

Cable park would be awesome, though, unless indoors would probably freeze over. Would be fun for ice skating!  |

| I wonder about the cold argument against a cable park. They have them in Germany and it's cold as hell there too. |

I think Cable parks are good for places where there is nothing else to do. Like texas or florida.
no hiking, mt. biking, skiing, kayaking, beach combing, etc, etc. etc. |

i can tell you that I looked into building a small private lake here for a while... what a pain in the a$$ that was. Oregon is very protective of anything concerning water and land....
If I remember correctly, it is easier to build a lake on the side of a mountain than in the valley anywhere. |

PDX Cable Park...build it and they will come:
-Int and Adv Kiters....u know u guys will b all over the sliders, big ramps, etc..u know PKRA riders cross train on this stuff
-New Kiters...perfect to practice board skills
-Local programs...bus thoses kids in
-Wakeboarders/skaters....no explanation here needed
-Prime location....people travel all over to go to Cable parks, esp if there isn't one on the West Coast, no competition...u might have to deal with all the Calis coming up
-Cold? No Wind?...more reason u'll b all over the park, less crowds, more practice, u'll b itchin to ride...I talked to N Euro riders, they laugh at the us complaining about cold
-FL? ofcourse its easier to build park in FL, less restrictions, more sites...that's what I mean, have Park easily built like in FL but with the demographics of PDX...by the way best wake riders train in FL...pro surfers Kelly Slater, Hobgoods come from FL...but yes, it's boring no Mts
-Old and young...a PDX park will probably have the most diverse age demographic from the kiting community
-Waterski...OWC is a good park to model, 2 courses, one for set at 20-22mph for sliders, other set at 17 for beginners...crank pull to 30 and have slalom skiers....haha, u know u kiters want to get cranked at 30, imagine the spray when u turn the corner
-More Biz...local brands can test their gear, local shops sell more gear
-Food and Brew...$$$ from food sales....have a few micro brews at the bar  instant draw
