No color correction, image stabilization, transitions or any of the other cool stuff that you experts do. I really like the Sany 720p Waterproof! Some lessons learned though: - Just because the camera is cheap doesn't mean you are going to be able to make videos cheap and easy. Editing software is expensive (if you pay) and the computer needs to be pretty fast to deal with HD and the compressed video. - Sanyo stored everything in an MP4 codec that many of the editing programs didn't want to read natively (like After Affects), and even though Vegas could read it it didn't do a great job when I went to render (crashed constantly) so I ended up editing small chunks and then exporting to uncompressed AVI. - The cam is awesome but needs to be held very steady. For that reason the pistol grip might work better. We also had an easier time mounting the pistol grip to the kite. - Also because of the lack of good image stabilization in the cam the 30x zoom is pretty worthless without a tripod. Consider that when comparing the pistol grip and horizontal style.
