... while you were getting soaked in pdx. I got there at five, warm and windy. I spend time on 14m until 6:30 and switched to 9m until I left at 7:30. The entire river all to myself.

My turn to ask "where was everybody?" Smile

Anyone know if there is a boat launch near Jones Beach? or do you think its doable enough just to back up into the water with a 4x4 and a jetski?

I don't know about backing up to the water, If you got a trailer it's probably going to get stuck? Shocked

I took a trailer down to the little sand bar place at jones with my suby wagon. We took the slider down last year. I just took her easy though.
I didn't come close to the water.

Clatskanie is pretty close.

IMO I bet you'd be fine backing a trailer down there with your ski..
I've seen people do it all the time...can't remember if they had little suburus or not Confused
Just make sure you go to the area a little upriver from the parking lot where it flattens way out and stays shallow for awhile..

Bonetti, where do you plan on launching your zodiac? Or are we pumping that badboy up..?

nice session!

If itd for the waverunner phil I would guess you can do it without any issues, if you are nervous about it you can always drive it close to the water and the remove the trailer from the car and launch it by hand

Were going to pump it up right there on the spot! I'd bring a trailer up to oregon with me but then you stuck going 65 mph!!! Plus I've had bad experiences with trailers and the beach!!!

I've wondered about this too. Probably a good idea to have a couple of vehicles on had first time, just in case. Also, maybe try it first time at high tide? Nothing worse than being stuck as the water level is rising. Shocked

Definitely doable. Once I helped to pack jet skis on a trailer right next to the place I had my kite on the beach. The trailer was hooked up to some big pickup though.

Playing in waves! Nice. And the board always washes onshore, which would make me much more at ease Wink
Those solo sessions are awesome for the beauty of wind, water and solitude, but a bit scary at the same time.

That's a sick setup.

Is that Nelscott or Half Moon bay (Mavrics)? I see Cali registration on the ski.

coming from portland there is a boat launch right out of clatskanie on the right. my dad and i have launched our jetski there a few times. its easy and worth it... we got stuck with the trailer at jones before. and its only a five minute ride down the stream from the boat launch to jones.
