Just went out on a 8m and overpowered at Florence, now watching a guy (probably like 55 - 65 years old) on a 5m strapless loving it while I wait for it to drop to more manageable wind. Anyone got a report for other spots on the coast?

Nice and solid in the 11M range up in the Ft. Stevens strip. Small to funsize swell...chilly...had to put the gloves back on!

Yeah, a 5M can come in handy!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Soloed South Beach on a 9m from 4 to 6 pm with a totally vacant beach. A little gusty, but fun chest to head high waves and no fog like the last couple of days.

instead of virtually hoping for relief
you should have got out of yer van
and found out that waiting for the wind to back off
will require a flashlight

fyi
leaving your kite flapping on the beach ,
for hours in high wind will ruin it

start of day 5 out of 6
said fuk it yesterday

ya really

usually when someone drives across the beach to within 10' of another kiter
stops and stares at them
the polite thing to do is roll down yer window
and say hi.

but one can't be too safe we could have been kite murderers

Assuming me not being polite is interesting as your car wasn't stopping at all, rather just drove by and I take me waving and you or your driver waving as well as a kind gesture obviously not realized on your part. I sure hope this post doesn't turn into nitpicking.

were you not there for 2 days ?
did you ask about florence
last week on this forum ?
(was working and never know when I will go)

you watched us drive up and didn't roll down your downwind window and with all that sand blowing I was not going to roll mine down unless it looked like you were,

you are correct i did assume you didn't want to talk

so I waved and drove off

next time you'll know it's me
so please say hi
