Just bought a home in Astoria.
I have an extra room I can rent to a kiteboarder who would like to have a coastal retreat.
If you have an extra $550 a month and you want to go to the beach a lot this summer it could be a huge savings for you....no hotel stays.
Or maybe you want to live there full time. Good garage and shop downstairs and a hiking trail behind the house for mountain biking. The house is on a half an acre and there is room for bar simulators to hang from the trees.

There will be one other person there part time but we will both be gone a lot for work travels.

It is on Youngs Bay....In Astoria. 1 hour from Portland and just down the road from Ft. Stevens and the best kitesurfing in Oregon.

Definitely the best kitesurfing in Oregon......yeah.......no question.
22 miles of drivable beach and waves.

Can you name a better situation in Oregon?
All of Oregon is good but we have Ft. Stevens to Sunset downwinders all summer and east winds at the ponds in winter. Year round riding and waves.

It amazes me how many people still don't know about the ponds...

When wind is strong offshore and tide is high drive to Fort Stevens and go all the way down the road to parking lot D. Proceed down main trailhead, observe best flatwater spot in northern Oregon, change soiled shorts, kite on.

You can also ride the ponds during South or SW winds.....but E, NE, or SE are best.
Must be high tide....or tide going out if the wind is light.

Yeah it is like a studio.
It is a downstairs room with it's own private bathroom/shower and separate hangout/television room.

Someone emailed me about this last week and I lost the email.
Write back if you are still interested in renting the downstairs.

I still haven't rented it but I will to the right person.
Plenty of garage space.

Here is a photo from the front yard.
