This time of year the damn phone starts ringing early, retaining wall builders have no rest(unless it snowed 8+ inches or the wind threatens to blow). Cool

And the clock on this forum is of an hour. Confused

For some reason phpBB doesn't support DST, kind of retarded but oh well.

Yes we did arrive in too late to land ur kite. . . The wind was gusty at times, I overrigged and dealt with it. The traffic was as fast and light as can be being city folk. It kind of hurts when SI blows and u go to the coast, but those waves and glass--nothing beats it! Waves were not anything special . . 2:30 departure, two hr sail and back in PDX at 8:30. I'll take it any day being early season jones'r from the PDX.

The gray cleared around arch cape and all there was was sun, blue ski and white caps.

i rigged 16m but 14m probably was the call. 5 out total today that I saw. Hit the water at 4:20 approx, maybe 4:30. . . .

Stronger when i got off the water than when I started. maybe a bit more steady as well.

Good to see wind was had by many. . .

some photos, only a few I took while switching from a 10 to a seven. Triple overhead may have been a stretch but double plus for sure on the outside. took a couple turns each on several of them. Got into a barrel on some of the middle 8 foot stuff, and rode out. Twisted Evil

ohh blowbeee,I know I had to take three safety breaks for 15 minutes to admire the pro naishers rulin' the 3x overhead from the raish nob crouch:lol: .

...and D, it has a lot to live up to from my affair with my last 7m, its a solid kite though, may have to fly it with a 20" instead of the 18".

Man, I am still satisfied at noon from yesterday Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Rolling Eyes Very Happy

glad to sea that you feel the waves are nothing special ...that means you wont be back!!!!!!i dont believe you understand the concept of waves verses flat water ...flat water is just that ...never a change except for chop or a little current pull ...there are never 2 waves the same as each has its own identity...therefore its never that boring !!! i could see how you thought it was not that good, when you were sitting on your ass on the sand at the edge of the water...LOL...RIVER TROLL

I like your Fuel 7!!! And it's actually the brightest, CLEAN '05 scheme I've seen, ahead of the '05 orange/khaki/black. What's that you say about its flying though? Is it not responsive enough for wave riding? I figure that's probably what you're talking about, but mine seems to do fine with a 17" bar (20m lines though).

When do we ever really fly our small kites underpowered? Shit, the last time we were out at Newport, still had the 11/13 up... and it was definately approaching small kite wind!

P.S. - you're, not your! Thumb's Up
