Perfectly. Better than my tooth rattling handlepass attempt

Good call on the winch today....sick to get in the water after a hot ass day on the job. Props to Stringer for attempting the handel pass off the kicker....he was so close on the last attempt.

I was off axis when I started my rotation. Made the pass but landed tow and front side edge first. I couldn't even stand I saw so many stars. I'm convinced the best saved my ribs. Got to start somewhere I guess. Like warren miller says "if you don't do it today, you'll be that much older when you do."

Good job getting some! I've been dying to grinch. Today I scoped out our spot for next Saturday! I hope the weather lines up, it's going to be sick!

Ya'll know that's how Borely blew his knee out right? Why don't you go for a 180 with a grab before you go on a self destruction kick. Oh yea, don't be kiteboard weirdos... You're doing spins off the kicker, not handle passes. Smile

It was awesome for sure!
Everyone was charging!!!
Actually Forrest I was doing Handel passes.

Colin perfecting the backside OH SHIT!!!

Monkeyboy charging

I was sooo close

How exactly did Borely blow out his knee?
I would really like to not do that.

Nice pix! Love the lighting. Did ya'll get that thing some legs? Looks like it's still floating. That thing is going to be SOLID once it's sitting on the ground.

I scoped out a sweet location for grinching yesterday that isn't in the freezing Hood River, now we just gotta get the Grinch up into the kite killer...

BTW, Katie and I walked the Sandbar yesterday and it's grown so much... It's hard to imagine it getting any bigger.

I think i need to bend my knees more. See my foot that is higher in the photo...well when I completed my rotation, that foot was much lower than the other so I landed toe and front side edge.

Any tips on preventing yourself from getting off axis? I think I leaned back to pull the rope to my hip and that is when the problems started

You gotta pass the bar lower, like behind your knees to start. Once you get stronger and faster, it can be behind your back. Bend down a little and pull the rope down to your back knee... You can start your rotation as soon as your board touches the kicker and be 90 degrees before you leave the ramp. Get a nice wide grip on the handle as well.

It's tough on the grinch because the constant pull... Behind a boat or kite if you pop right, you get a slacking of the rope for a second. On the Cable, you'd turn back torwards the center of pull to get the slack.

the way the kicker sinks might have something to do with not getting enough pop to complete a rotation....But like forrest mentions, The trick to getting the pass is the mili-second of slack time.

Maybe edge against the grinch and then turn towards the kicker to bring your speed up?

Unfortunately then the grinch just sucks up the slack... The Grinch doesn't run at a constant speed. Sad The operator might be able to back off the throttle to simulate this, but that usually just means the rider will sink upon landing.

Haha, you got me. It was t-shirt weather up there with a fun park. Got some nice riding on the jumps and pipe and then sessioned a 50ft S rail at the end. Best freestyle setup I've seen at Meadows this season.

Haha Gene. I actually saw you at the last second when we were pulling out the parking lot. Honked a couple times, but figured you were just like, "who in the fuck is honking." lol.

Definitely have RC setup a little nicer. That last step-up on the right is bigger than anything they've had all year!
