I declare this day, (what is today?), as the start of the Gorge spring season! Today, Stevenson, west wind, 7-12mtr, 3 hr session, 4/3 wetsuit, NO GLOVES, NO BOOTIES!!!
Almost didn't go out to the gorge, because the coast has been warmer.
But hmmm, the Gorge is catching up.
Attendees: Ken, Jason, Chris 1, Chris 2, Steve, Tom(for a little bit, but he was lame and left during a 10 min. lull!), and another guy(sorry didn't introduce myself) who was bodydragging for, seriously, at least an hour. See, that's proof right there!  Tak was there, but on his new girl motorcycle.
Disclaimer #1 - Ok, "OFFICIALLY" is according to me. There are probably more thick skinned fools, who have already done the no bootie, no glove thing this year on the RIVER. But there are a whole lot of p*ssy's who haven't.
Disclaimer #2 - If your a beginner, your not a p*ssy. I do not recommend going out on the river without taking into consideration how warm(or cold) you're going to be if you need to swim across the river without the proper insulation.
p.s. Sorry, no pics. Our crew is very ugly, and we break cameras all the time.

Amery, We wore booties and every other neoprene thing we could find today...huge wusses!! The wind hit between 14-37 on a few points and we got worked, especially me!! Thanks Henry for saving my board!

Yep. Looks like wind in the gorge tomorrow. But there is the sauvie cleanup. Don't they know play when its windy, work when its not?! ha!

I plan to be outta Sauvies by 3pm, so still leaves plenty of time to get out to the Gorge. We can always do it another day but it sounded like a lot of support for tomorrow.
