Well its official and it was beautiful. Only going to put up one photo as I know Henry was working hard and I am sure his shots will give the event the justice it deserves...

Hey Phil & Nicole congrats ! Dont know you guys that well, just in passing hanging out in HR last summer.
Wondering what the 411 is on the kite scene in Cozumel. Where did u stay ? Is wind good, pics look that way ? Where to kite lagoons ? ocean , both ? U recommend it for a kite vaca ? Time of year ?
Thanks

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes! I couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding for us and I think having so many friends around and back at home makes it feel so special.

Cozumel is awesome! This is our third trip here. Great food, good kiting, great people, mellow scene overall. Its an island so crime is very low here (I feel safer than at home.) You can go out to eat every night and not break the bank unlike many destinations.
The kiting here is very good when its on. The Lagoon has nice butter water and glassy areas. I highly recommend hooking up with Adrian from http://cozumelkiteboarding.com before you come down as he is an awesome tour guide and can get you access to the lagoon (its difficult if you don't have a boat.)
The east side has waves that can get pretty big, though they are gulf waves and not as nice as those in Oregon, Hawaii, or west coast Baja. The water is the most beautiful blue and very warm. I've been in nothing more than a rash guard all week and never get cold.
Best months for wind seem to be either November or March. November for northerlies (good for flat water) or March for southerlies (good for waves.) PKRA is going to have a stop to Playa del Carmen (main land side from Cozumel) this November.
A good place to stay is Bahia Suites: http://www.suitesbahia.com/ ... They have rooms for $50 a night, are located right downtown, and have a big breakfast every morning. Most of the crew that came down here for the wedding stayed there and everyone loved it.
You can also rent condos, we found ours off of VRBO.com. Some are located on Country Club beach where you can kite from. Country Club kiting is fun but its more chop than the lagoon and no waves.
Anyway sorry for the novel, just love this place and loved getting married here. Highly recommend it!
