Any body have recommendations on where to go or what to do about kite repairs?
This is not a small hole patch. This is a full panel replacement. Any help would be great.

What is the cost going to be? Or what did your repair cost you. I just need a panel replaced. One of the light gray panels. This is the kite before it got torn.

I am not sure what the cost was, I bought the kite after the repair. Send them a pic and description and they should be able to give you an estimate.

Every body says they are quick and professional. But what is the cost, $20 or $50 or $100. And am I better off going through the manufacturer. They are only 20 minutes away. Slingshot.

They have a 24 hour drop box and free quote system. Or you can go to their webpage and fill out a form. They quote from there.

Closer is Marc (stevenson) He would be another great option.

good luck.

Airtime has repaired kites for two friends and they were both pleased with cost and quality. Dangler fixed windsurf sails for me before and I can highly recommend his work. I'd have no hesitation taking a kite to him.

I can't tell where the rip is from the pics, then again it feels like 4:45AM... Shocked

Really depends on how big of a panel they need to patch in, but I figure it'd be at least $50 to $100 from Airtime just to be safe (and it definitely could be less).

Contact slingshot and describe what happened. That is the advantage of buying from a local manufacturer.
In my experience they have ALWAYS taken care of me..and that kind of treatment really wins loyalty.

I don't think slingshot is going to flip the bill on this one. I wish. being a new kite. But it's not a slingshot defect. It inverted and riped on impact of water.

well, it doesn't hurt to ask now does it? So how did it happen anyways>? you fly it into a barb-wired fence? That would not be their defect, that would be yours Laughing

No barbe wire, no trees. I was at the South jetty in Newport. About 100 yards away from the jetty. NW winds about 16 to 22. No waves either. There was some futher South. THere was 3 other kites ripping it up to the South. Nice day actually.
I don't know. I looped the kite. It flipped and smaked the water. Got a hold of it, dragged it to shore. And my life flashed before me when I saw the damage. I can think of different possability but not sure. My wife took this pic. Sure looks clean and clear out in the distance. You can even see a kite in the back ground.
